The public policy for Bogotá has been approved

The Bogotá Smart Territory public policy has been approved, with the main objective of promoting the use and exploitation of data, technology, and innovation to solve problems and generate opportunities that improve people’s quality of life.

The policy contains seven specific objectives, including closing the digital divide among citizens through a district connectivity plan, developing citizen skills by training 47,000 beneficiaries in post-secondary IT education, and the use of data for decision-making, where one of the tools to achieve this will be Chatico, Bogotá’s virtual agent, which will have a greater impact on citizen consultation and participation exercises.

Similarly, the data brain and the Ciudadanía 360° project will be implemented to provide better district services to the population; and the consolidation of public innovation as a driver of the smart territory through the iBO laboratory, which will lead the formation of the Public Innovation System and the creation of the innovation hub that would be integrated into the Bogotá-Region Science, Technology, and Innovation Campus.
