New DIAN resolution extends deadlines for submitting foreign exchange information

For several months, both compensation account holders and Foreign Exchange Market Intermediaries (IMC) and other obligated parties have been awaiting a decision from the tax authorities regarding the changes that the entity would make to its systems for the submission of exogenous foreign exchange information, as a result of the changes established by the Central Bank with its new foreign exchange information system. However, Resolution 000103 of June 28, 2024, does not yet establish the new form of submission. On the contrary, it extends the deadlines for submission, meaning that both the information for the last quarter of 2023 and the first three quarters of 2024 will have a deadline for submission of up to six months after the application and XML file formats become operational. These will be set out in a new technical resolution that modifies or repeals Resolution 161 of 2021, which will indicate the content and characteristics of exogenous exchange information.
We will keep you informed if the new administrative act is issued.
