Establishes extraordinary and temporary measures to protect the employment and income of workers affected by the earthquake of August 10, 2026.
Among the key provisions, the decree provides for a government payroll subsidy financed with resources from the Milagro Fund, aimed at micro and small businesses with eligible affected workers; it requires that the employer have been in existence prior to August 10, 2026, that workers be registered in the Single Registry of Affected Persons (RUD), and that they earn between one and two minimum wages; sets the amount at 40% of the applicable monthly legal minimum wage for 2026 per eligible worker, assigns the Ministry of Labor the responsibility for administering the benefit and the UGPP the responsibility for validation and oversight, provides for reimbursement in cases of fraud or double payment, and establishes a maximum duration of six monthly support cycles.
